He earns his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires, School of Medicine and training in Gastroenterology was completed in the Dr. C. Bonorino Udaondo Gastroenterology Hospital where he was Chief of Small bowel Section; Head of Clinical Gastroenterology Service and Head of the Department of Medicine. He is Professor Emeritus of Gastroenterology in the School of Medicine of the University del Salvador in Buenos Aires and Director of the Academic Unit in the University of Buenos Aires Specialization Course. He was Visiting Assistant Professor at the Texas University Health Science Center at Dallas. International expert in celiac disease, he has published numerous scientific papers in the main journals and he has participated in innumerable international events.

Edgardo Smecuol

He develops his care and teaching activity in the "Small Intestine Section" of the Hospital de Gastroenterología "Dr. C. Bonorino Udaondo ” in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He’s an investigator for the Health Research Council of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has been President of the Argentine Society of Gastroenterology in the period 2019-2020 and Honorary Secretary of the Pan American Organization of Gastroenterology (OPGE) from 2012 to the present. Dr. Smecuol also served on the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) International Committee from 2016 to today.

Graduated as a medical doctor from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), she completed her training as a gastroenterology at the Hospital of Gastroenterology “Dr. C. Bonorino Udaondo (Buenos Aires, Argentina). She currently serves as Head of the Small Intestine Section and Head of the Department of Medicine at the aformentioned hospital. She is an Associate Researcher of the Career of Health Professionals, of the Ministry of Health of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. She is Vice-Director of the Graduate School at the Argentine Society of Gastroenterology (UBA) and Associate Director of the Medical Specialist Career in Gastroenterology at the UBA for the C. Bonorino Udaondo Hospital She was also President of the Argentine Society of Gastroenterology.

Doctor graduated from the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste-UNNE. Gastroenterology specialist (Hospital Carlos Bonorino Udaondo-SAGE-UBA). Fellowship in Neurogastroenterology and Motility (Hospital de Clínicas José de San Martín). Clinical Effectiveness Program (Instituto de Efectividad Clínica y Sanitaria-IECS). Board Member of the Argentine Society of Gastroenterology (SAGE) during the period 2019-2020. He has been a speaker at numerous national and international congresses and scientific events and presents publications in international scientific journals. Currently Doctor of the Small Intestine Section at Hospital Carlos Bonorino Udaondo, associate editor of ACTA, the Latin American Gastroenterological Journal and member of the SAGE Youth Subcommittee (SAGE Joven).

María Laura Moreno

María Laura Moreno

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires; specialist in Gastroenterology graduated from the School of the Argentine Society of Gastroenterology (SAGE) / University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Her training in Gastroenterology was developed at the Hospital de Gastroenterología Dr. C. Bonorino Udaondo where she completed her residency, and where he currently performs his care and teaching activity as a staff doctor in the "Small Intestine Section", where he works from the 2008. Professor at the SAGE School, she is an important expert in celiac disease, having published numerous scientific articles in the main journals of the specialty in collaboration with the group of the Small Intestine Section.
